Good Sunday Morning

Jeff and I went on a little boating excursion last Sunday.  We put in at the St. Gene ramps, across from Belle Isle, right in the heart of downtown Detroit.   Much development and improvements in that area and at the launch ramps themselves.  We then went out into Lake St. Clair, and up to Grosse Pointe.   Finally finding a little shelter in Ford Cove, at the Edsel Ford estate.

The sun was warm, but the wind was chill.  You know how it is with an April day.  -Robert Frost

Jeff fished, successfully catching his first of the season….a large mouth bass:

I enjoyed the sun…..soaked it up…..

Heading back to the docks, we wander.  There is much new development at the mouth of the Detroit River

And still plenty of history…..

Its heartening to see the riverfront be revitalized and inhabited….

April hath put a spirit of youth in everything.  -William Shakespeare

Have a good Sunday!

  1. Wow Deb I never knew all that was down by the river. And what fabulous photos you took to capture the story. That is one big fish. Can you eat it? Why does the water look so green?
    Thanks for sharing.
