Mosacian Tribal Meeting

Friday was a mosaic making day at my house.  Lisa, Kelly, Jackie and I spent the day working away on our ideas.  I couldn’t wait to share what we did, even though they all need grout and the finishing touches.

Lisa knew just what she wanted to do, she worked from a photo of Paddy swimming in her pond.

Kel warmed up with an organic swirl of stones

and completed another, a mirror or picture frame in what is becoming her signature landscape style:

And welcome to the tribe, Jackie. The girl had limited time, those chapters of  homework could not be postponed any longer.  Nonetheless, her first pieces turned out sweet….

And her collage of orange….

For me, mosaic making has become the equal to a quilting bee of the olden days.  We get together, keep our hands busy but the conversation flows from one topic to the next.  It’s a great way to spend quality time with friends, and solve all the world’s problems.

  1. Wish I could have been there — the company and conversation must have been terrific. It would have been 3 “Capris”, 1
“Bermuda” and 1 old ” Overall”!!!

  2. Oh, I just love the landscapes. And welcome, Jackie, to the tribe. Paddy’s pond looks inviting, especially the sun.
