D’mama quilts

Today I highlight my MIL…Elaine.  She participates in a quilting group,  at her young-at-heart age of 87.  Her job is tying the quilts that the other members sew together.  Tying one quilt after another is a rewarding distraction.  Her way of contributing, she says it makes her feel useful.  Although we all know she is plenty useful as d’mama of us Kolar’s.

She is the covergirl on her senior apartment’s summer newletter, and her group is being honored with a special luncheon.   Below is a clipping of a portion of the article:

If anyone has yardage that they would like to donate to these ladies, I am sure they would be grateful.  And never say never, because you just never know.  Who would have thought that d’mama would become  a quilter.
