Fiber art at U of M

Today I went to visit fiber artist friends’ Kathie Briggs, Peg Keeney, and Desiree Vaughn‘s, exhibit at the U of M Hospital,  Collaborative Spirit:  Fiber Fabrications  I love the collaborative work they did, the pieces are so exquisitely detailed and rich.   This was my favorite collaborative piece (click on the photo to really appreciate the details):

It holds your attention, so much to look at: texture, colors, embroidery, painting, the stumpwork figure. 

The exhibit is well worth the visit.  I am so inspired by these  talented women.

  1. Isn’t it beautiful, its even more so in person, of course. This is a piece that all three of the artists worked on together.
