Where I Stand Sunday

In Virginia, visiting CapriL….and her menagerie

Meet Paddy the beaver…he was rescued from a drainage ditch near Washington DC.  He/she (we don’t know yet) is about 4 weeks old.  He weighed about 1 pound when Lisa got him, and now has over doubled his weight.  He eats leaves, branches and especially loves crabapples.  He’s like a baby, is bottlefed, cries, and wakes Lisa and Cam up at night.  But soooo cute.  Lisa has a blog, unfortunately doesn’t keep us posted regularly,  but when she does its a good one.  She will keep us up to date on Paddy.  Lisa is working closely with a certified wildlife rehabiliation center, and an expert on beaver rehab.

He paddles around in Lisa’s bathtub/habitat

Keep up the good progress Paddy….we want to see you full grown and a happy healthy adult.

Where I Stand Sunday is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places I spend my life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. The ground we tread on has its own stories to tell.  Join Lynn Krawczyk of Fibra artysta and I in celebrating each Sunday in this way.
