Charity project—Leaf Squares

My fiber art group, Running with Scissors, is doing an exhibit at the Livonia Michigan, Civic Center Library Gallery in November.  Our theme is Botany, no flowers allowed!  And as part of this exhibit, we decided to do a project that would help out Livonia’s Greenmead Historical Village.  We made 6 x 6 inch squares with a leaf as the central motif.  Each square will be sold individually, with the proceeds going to Greenmead.  We will display the squares together in a unique and interesting way at the gallery.  The details are yet to be completely worked out, but rest asured that I will cover this event on my blog.  I have received most of the squares, there are many!  They are so beautiful,  and so tempting to own.  As a teaser, I’ve photographed some of them for you:
