This weekend has been kinda slow. Feeling under the weather, and the weather has been a good thing to hide from. Its been typical Michigan unpredictable weather….changing every 5 minutes….sunshine, rain, wind, sunshine…. But today was a great day, despite several drops in temperature, and unpredicable precipitation. I got so much done outside, finally feeling better. Let’s see….planted bushes, moved bushes around, dug up plants at a friend’s who is moving. Drove around looking at real estate with Stephanie. Planted all the friend’s plants. Divided some huge hostas. Cooked dinner for my daughters and I.
Jeff has been up north, opening the cottage with his brother, John. I was going to go too, but then that whole flu bug thing made a 7 hour drive and a working weekend seem very uninviting. But I am so happy that I was able to make the most of today. Being unable to do my work for just a couple of days was making me crazy. I am once again made aware of how thankful I am for my good health, energy, and interests that make everyday alive with activity and passion. Okay, can’t stop there….thankful for family, friends, pets. They keep my days rich also!
Here I am, in the passenger seat of Steph’s car, navitaging her through the list of properties she’s interested in looking at. This brought back memories of her driver’s ed days. She learned to drive in my 5 speed New Beetle(1998), when they were first new. We had fun. But that’s another story.
Where I Stand Sunday is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places I spend my life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. The ground we tread on has its own stories to tell. Join Lynn Krawczyk of Fibra artysta and I in celebrating each Sunday in this way. Let Lynn know, so she can link to your site on her blog.
