Today was a beautiful day here, at least 70 degrees, partially sunny. Got soooo much done in the garden. Things are looking pretty tidy around here, except of course me:
But, I clean up pretty good too. These first days of working outside are heaven and hell all rolled up in one. I love these first warm days outdoors. There is so much to do, racing around to get everything cleaned up before the tender leaves start unfurling and would be damaged by raking. Cutting back, trimming, and then more raking. This year I seem to be getting a head start….probably because of Jeff’s help. Thank you, DH, you are super quick, efficient, and hardworking. But, unfortunately we will both be suffering tomorrow with stiff joints and sore muscles.
The pond is quite the spectical of sight and sound with these guys singing their hearts out, and having quite the love fest. In fact, I was compelled to rescue a female who just seemed to have too much attention…really, three at once….they were going to drown her….hey sorry Ms Toad if I ruined your party.
Where I Stand Sunday is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places I spend my life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. The ground we tread on has its own stories to tell. Join Lynn Krawczyk of Fibra artysta and I in celebrating each Sunday in this way. Let Lynn know, so she can link to your site on her blog.
