Where I Stand Sunday

First, I would like to thank everyone for their comments, I am so honored and happy for your time and attention and comments!

We are visiting with my parent’s, in Vero Beach Florida.  Its been chilly this week, but the weekend has warmed up to be in the 70’s.  Went out early this morning, boating while watching the sun rise with a warm salty breeze here on Indian River.  Fishing was good!   This is a sailcat, about 5 pounds…a nice size.  This fish took my bait with a slam, actually felt like I hooked a rock  until the fish started pulling away, fighting with amazing strength.  So exciting, let me tell you!  This is what I love about fishing.  We landed him, Jeff and I….got a good picture, then let him go.  So amazing and beautiful, that I couldn’t keep him.   I also caught ladyfish, which jump and tug and fight way beyond their size….so awesome….

Here’s a peak down the canal on the way to the river….

Manatee’s love the fresh water flowing from dad’s artesian well

Where I Stand Sunday is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places I spend my life standing. Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on. The ground we tread on has its own stories to tell.  Join Lynn Krawczyk of Fibra artysta and I in celebrating each Sunday in this way.  Let Lynn know, so she can link to your site on her blog.
